Rather than teaching from a typical method book, I have written my own method book, as well as preparing all the lessons for my individual private students.

Each person has individual needs and depending on their age and musical experience, they need to have achievable goals, when learning to play the guitar or any instrument for that matter.

I always introduce music theory, as part of the students lessons, in a way that they can relate with the new subjects as well as apply to each week’s lessons.

What good is it to learn about scales if you don’t learn a song to use the scale in? Did you know the opening to “La Bamba” is a major scale? Did you know you could use the same scale for playing Wildwood Flower or a solo on Malagueña? You also use it to play the melody to “Ode to Joy”.
